Solar energy in Greece, due to its geographical position, its special climatic conditions and characteristics, is considered a highly efficient source of electricity production.
This can be proved by the large market share of solar which is around 40% of the total installed renewable capacity, in Greece. The development of a solar PV farm is adressed to a wide range of investors since there is no lower or upper limit regarding the capacity installed. This means that prospective investors can choose to develop a solar PV farm of a capacity of a few dozens kW up to MW.
GEPEM undertakes:
- the orientation and briefing of prospective clients on the solar power sector in Greece and how a solar PV project is developed
- the search of the suitable land in order to develop an efficient and cost-effective solar PV farm and its eligibility check
- the induction of investors in the Greek legislation related to the renewable energy sector
- the stage of development and licensing of such a project, from the phase of pre-feasibility study until the construction phase
