Today, wind energy is considered the fastest growing source of electricity in Greece and Europe.
As far as Greece is concerned, wind energy accounts for 45% of total installed capacity of renewables and 51% of the renewable energy produced. In spite of its high percentage of market penetration, there is still a huge unexploited potential that can be harnessed according to the Center for Renewable Energy Sources & Saving.
While capital costs constantly decrease, the price for each kWh for wind installations having a capacity larger than 60kW is 0,25€/kWh making an investments on wind farms profitable and low-risk.
GEPEM undertakes:
- the orientation and briefing of prospective clients on the wind power sector in Greece and how a wind project is developed
- the induction of investors in the Greek legislation related to the renewable energy sector
- the stage of development and licensing of such a project, from the phase of pre-feasibility study until the construction phase
